AMAZON HAUL
Friends, I am guilty of being an avid online shopper. I don’t take too much joy in going out and shopping, but online retail therapy is real, and it has me in a choke hold. I recently indulged in an Amazon haul, and let me tell you, it was pure bliss. I’ve been needing a few new fashion-centric items, and I wanted to share them with you!
First on the agenda was a new Ray-Bans case. I have an older one that has started to fall apart. My previous case had been with me over 10 years and has endured me throwing it around in my purse and car, so I knew I wanted to stick with the brand. It really lasted and is still usable, but I wanted a new look.
This case is beautiful. It definitely has a more rugged look to it, but the case is very soft and smooth. I purchased this using Amazon’s one week trial program, but I instantly knew I wanted to keep them. The detailing and sturdiness of the case is excellent, and it just looks beautiful. Highly recommend.
Next, a new makeup bag. I have a compartmentalized travel makeup bag, but that might honestly be replaced by this. The bag is beautiful. The material is soft, waterproof and easy to clean. Full disclosure, this is a product that has a random phrase on it, but it’s one that I honestly liked. It says “Rose of No Man’s Land“. Although your guess is likely as good as mine on what this means, it’s at least a phrase that isn’t too cheesy or just totally incorrect.
I purchased a medium sized bag, and it honestly held everything so easily. Makeup brushes, lip products, foundation, powder, primer, setting spray - you name it, I’ve probably got it in there. Now, I didn’t actually purchase this for travel. I purchased this as an emergency kit.
Picture it now - you wake up late for church on Sunday and need to rush out of the house. While your husband drives, you plop this bag out and within that twenty minute drive you’ve gone from zero to hero. This bag is great. It fits my personal needs, so I can imagine if you’re someone who commutes or just needs their essentials on them, this will be great. This item is by no means small. It holds a lot, but doesn’t look bulky.
The zip closure on this is really interesting. It zips across, so I know that my items won’t easily move around. The bag also has a handle, which is great because it’s just big enough that the handle is really helpful. If I had to just lug this around, I wouldn’t be as happy.
Earlier I said this might replace my vacation pack and I’m not exaggerating. I tend to pack my essentials on vacation. I know exactly what I need and I believe this bag could easily accomodate me while saving me a lot of room in my luggage. Once it’s packed it’s kind of boxy in structure and, to me, that’s great because that means it’s not so flimsy that it will crush products. So far, I love this. Totally recommend!
Last, but certainly not least, is the Telena backpack. Let’s dig into it.
The bag is beautiful. It’s crafted well, has soft and smooth vegan leather and it is durable. The bag boasts a large size and capacity and I love this because in travel and life, I am an overpacker.
I gravitate towards backpack bags because of their larger capacity, but also because my back always hurts, and being able to choose between having this spread evenly over my back or all on one shoulder is important to me. If you’re someone who gets shoulder or back pain from their bag, consider something like this. I go between bags like this or extremely compact bags and fanny packs. The issue with the latter is just that I can’t have everything I want inside.
The Telena bag stood out to me for another two reasons - compartments and branding. This bag has a lot of compartments. It’s great. I’ve seen some reviews from mother’s who LOVE the space and compartments of this bag, so if that’s something you need, check this out. For me, I just love having my spaces feel neat and put together. I enjoy having a place for all of my things and this bag provides that. It also provides NO OBVIOUS BRANDING. I love, love, love this! Like, too much. When brands on Amazon have unconventional names that are spread across their products, I’m hesitant to purchase. A trick I’ve learned for some products is to create a custom patch I can sew or iron over, but when it comes to purses, watches or other accessories, that’s not really a possibility.
I’m thrilled to know this bag doesn’t have any obvious branding on it. It makes for a clean look, and it’s nice because I think you usually get that much more adoration for it.
All of the products I recently purchased and wanted to share are wins in my book. I hope you like them! If you choose to grab one, let me know what you think. As a note, the links provided are NOT affiliate links. I’m simply sharing so you don’t need to scour Amazon for these finds.
